I put my xD card into my card reader which accepts xD cards but nothing happens...Just an hourglass signalling too wait but thats it, It goes away and thats it no menu saying to copy photos too a file blah blah blah...I have tried other cards and they work! but i tried my card on another machine and it worked...Hmmm help?

You may need a new card reader - the newer high capacity xD cards are not compatible with many of the older card readers.

I would try opening the card manually, i.e go to Start>Run and type in the drive letter of your card reader. See what that says. Other than suggesting that, in the circumstances you explain, I can't think of anything else to try.

Ryan Chuckie is right there ,if you go in to my documents the pics may be there if not upgrade the reader ,not expensive noe 20- 30 quid gets you up there.

use your machine
but use another usb port
