4mp can make fairly large prints, like 11x14. You can stretch it to 11x17. If you are sensitive to grain, maybe only 8.5x11.

BUT, to get the best picture, make sure you take the pictures at a "high quality". It's one of the cameras settings.

Many people have 8mp cameras, but take pictures at 2mp by mistake.

You should be able to print photos from a 4 mp camera that are between 640 x 480 to 2304 x 1728...so I guess that would be 4 x 6 to 16 x 20, but I would only go up to 8 x 10 because of the quality of the final product.

-540 x 360 pixels (4 x 6)
-630 x 450 pixels (5 x 7)
-900 x 720 pixels (8 x 10)
-1260 x 990 pixels (11 x 14)
-1620 x 1080 pixels (12 x 18)
-1800 x 1440 pixels (16 x 20)
-2700 x 1800 pixels (20 x 30)
-270 x 180 pixels (wallet prints)

I'm sorry, I have no idea about a 2 mp camera, but if you know the recorded number of pixels you can use the chart I provided to figure it out.

Hope that helps!

I would say about 8x10 and 4x5. The problem is when you want to crop a picture. If you want to blow up the center of a picture you need more mp to get a clear enlargement.
