That connects your digital camera to your computer...my dog ate mine and need to get a new one, but im not sure what to ask for

Could be firewire or USB, USB plugs are wider and flat, firewire plugs are not as flat nor as wide.

Technically it's just a USB cable, but the connector on the camera end of the cable varies from camera to camera. There are many types so don't expect stores to stock all the types. It's usually easier (and no more expensive) to get a memory card reader.

The cable that you are looking for is USB. There is USB 1.0 and 2.0, USB 2.0 is faster so you might consider buying USB 2.0 plug. Good Luck

I'd just call it a digital camera up-load to PC cable, and tell them what make & model your camera & PC are. I think that's enough info to go on.
