how fast will i get the picture message from my boyfriend and sound. what is the price of those things and were can i buy one?

of coarse they work, i have one...
depending on how many programs you have open at the time of using it, will determine how fast the picture travels... if it's just msn, then its nice and quick, they can see your every movement, it might pause depending how good your computer is...
my webcam was around 35.00$
and I got it from "The Source"
any local computer store will have one, and can give you info on one...

Of course they work! I guess what you have to ask is how easy is it to use and how long before it conks out.Ã That'll depend on what brand you'll buy. But any brand shall do the trick. Also, about the delay ("how fast will i get the picture message from my boyfriend and sound"), this will depend on your internet connection. If you're using dial-up, then it may take you quite a while to see the other person, and the movements may not be real time. But if you have good connection, then a few seconds delay is just natural.

they usually cost 30 bucks. u can get one at a computer store for that price and if u got to best buy or circuit city it will cost more. its actually fast the sound and picture come at same time well kind of the voice is sometimes sluggerish or later

of course web cams work. The prices vary with the quality. The cheaper the price, the cheaper the cam.

Of course. And the quality depends on the price of the cam. If you get a cheap one it will be very slow and have bad quality, but if you buy a expenseve one(around 90.00$) you will have good quality and fast pictures. :)

Its live, theres about a 2-3 second delay depending on your connection, You can get a beginner one for about 40 bucks on sale at like walmart. Look for Logitech.

Yeah, they work, download Skype for free, and you can video call each other.
Try your local computer shop, they sometimes do deals for two cameras.
The camera I have is the Microsoft one, with built in microphone.
But you can get them for use with a headset, which I think might be better for you, (more private).

They're great to have . But don't be cheap when you decide to buy one. The more you pay the better the picture.I think you can go to your local radio shack or maybe best buys and check them out.

it depends on which kind you get
if u get a cruddy one, they are blurry, and they dont work as good
if u wanna spend the extra money, get a nice one, and get hi def videos
if you wanna record whats goin on on ur screen, download a screen recorder
