What is the refresh rate of a plasma screen compared to lcd sceeen and when i compare the specs between the two such as contrast ratio, does it compare equaly - ie if plasma is 5000 - 1 does that mean a lcd would have to be 5000 - 1 to be as good? Just my brain ticking over again as I am looking to buy the best i can get for my money!

I'm looking to buy a DSLR, with a budget around $600-$800.
Most important to me is:
-great low light shooting capabilities (low noise at high ISO); I take many action shots for my school paper
-rich, bright colors
-decent kit lens that can take a nice macro shot

Also:
-I would love a live view LCD, but this limits my options quite a bit, so it's not necessary.
-How helpful would you say image stabilitzation is?

Nikon D40x
Nikon D80
Pentax k10d

Any recommendations would be wonderful as I am overwhelmed with options! Thanks!

Well first I’m pretty sure want a ps3 vs. an Xbox

but I’m curious how much space does a person actually need I’m not sure if I’d need a full 80gb and is there any difference between the 20,40gb vs. the 60 and 80gb?

Mainly the only games I play are madden, mgs, gta

So which p3 would be an adequate fit for me?

Oh and also will there be a price drop possible after Christmas?

I really want to know if the Olevia 232v is a good tv. I can't get any other tv because that one was only 400. I am wondering if I should tell my mom to bring it back and I could get more games. Or get both and not get much else.

I don't have an HDTV and my PS3 outputs an not so great picture. I basically can see lines and its hard to read the words (ie team names in FIFA during gameplay)

Is this normal since I don't have an HDTV?

should i use a dvd recorder, a dvr provided by my cable company or tivo what are the extra features of tivo over the cable companys dvr and what are the extra features of the cable companys dvr over a dvd recorder and with the cheapest dvd recorder at walmart which is like 50 or 60 dollars would i be able to set that to auto record to make sure i dont miss a show and how many shows could i program it to auto record would it be 8 like with a vcr i know that you can buy 100 dvd+r for only 25 dollars at walmart so assuming you own a dvd recorder that is far cheaper then buying vcr blank tapes which cost at least 1 dollar thats 25 cents per dvd+r also how much extra money would dvd+rw cost over dvd+r and is it worth it to buy dvd+r dl or dvd+rw dl i dont see what the point of rewritable is when blank dvds only cost 25 cents per disc even buying 50 discs for 15 or 20 dollars is incredibly cheap and should i go with sony are they the best brand

I want to purchase a flat screen televsion to go above my fireplace, but I don't want wires all over the place, is there such thing as a wireless system to work with an HDTV? If not, how would I attach the wires from DVD player to the tv if the DVD player is approx. 7' away from the TV?

I accidentally put a magnet spot on my mom's tv with my fish aquarium magnet cleaner thing. It is pretty large, the size of a grapefruit, it is green and VERY noticable. And BTW, I told my mom about it, I am not trying to remove the evidnece, I am trying to fix the tv. And we have 0 money, so we can't hire anyone to do it.

OK, I know it comes with free wifi and all that, but here's the thing. I don't have wifi. I used to, but it got messed up and we had to take it down. And i can't "steal" it from anyone else because everyone else has wi-fi security. So we're running internet through an ethernet cable. For three computers. How do I get it to the PS3?

i just bought a sony bravia home theater system with an upconverting dvd player, and i also bought a dynex hdmi digital a/v cable and hooked it up. i tried playing a dvd on my hdtv in 720p and 1080i settings and it all looks the same.....did i do something wrong? am i using the right cable, cuz the manual says to use a hdmi dvi in jack??but the guy at best buy said this is the cable i nee....help!!!
