I have an HDTV, and am going to get a sony PS3, which plays blue ray movies, but I'm not sure if they work on my TV.

CC Manager is correct, your TV will work well with a PS3. (And the PS3 is one of the better BluRay players available). You will love it.

The HDMI signals are very insensitive to the price of the cable.

yes, blue ray's are made specifically for HDTV's

your Blue Ray can broadcast up to 1080p, so if you have that type of HDTV it will look the best, but if you have only a 720p it will work also....go pick up a HDMI cable, preferably a 1000series monster HDMI cable for the absolute best picture.

(the run at about 120 bucks)
