If you have 4 binding posts for each speaker, it just means that it's capable of biwiring.

If you mean why are there two black and two red posts, it is because the red is for the positive wire and the black is for negative.
In, for example, a jack plug connection, the tip of the plug is positive and the bit after the black ring is negative, so you end up with only one connection point per channel..same with XLR connectors (negative one pin, positive a second) and Speakon (again, two pins carrying positive and negative).
That way, because you double up, you get only one connection point per channel.
