very rarely but the system just restarts. Most everything on PS3 has autosave too which is good because if it does ever freeze you dont lose anything.
I don't think there is a system that doesn't freeze. Every system is prone to it as they are all in a sense a computer and cpus freez from time to time.

My PS3 has never frozen since the day I've got it and I've had it for about a year now.
I now that some PS3 users were having freezing issues with Assassin's Creed, but it's just a problem with the game not the PS3.
Sony also released a new update version 2.01 that fixed some of the freezing problems some PS3 users were having with the Information Board feature.

A ps3 rarely freezes but it is possible to have a slight malfunction in the system. If problem proceeds contact customer service.

ever since i've downloaded the latest update, my ps3 has been freezing a lot. but i just restart the system and then it's fine

Some demos you download freeze (demo issues not ps3 issue) but it rarely happens.

some of the earliest ones released overheat and shut down. if you've got an earlier one, send it in and make them fix it, cause that's their fault.

uhhh it doesnt matter if u play it non stop,now if the battery is running really low it may or if you drop it in the middle of playing a game
