Wal-Mart has an RCA Opal 8MG MP3 player for about $89. This seems like a really good price for an 8MG player.

Does anyone know anything about this unit and how it compares to other MP3 brands?

its good but you will have some problems transferring videos to it; so heres a heads up

the player will come with a converter, but it sucks, so the only way to put videos in the this is to do the following:
PAY ATTENTION and remember this steps

1st. go to this youtube video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nado0jumx...
, it will give you a website that converts media.: http://www.mediaconverter.org/
2nd. once you get to that website choose if you want to convert a video from your computer or directly from youtube. then press next.
3rd. when it asks you:Choose the file type to convert to:
pick the format that says WMV.
then click next, skip with no changes and press next again, and it will converted it for you, now just wait a little and wait until it tells you you can downloaded.

4th. once you save the file "in" your computer open the converter that came with the mp3, press add; then look for the file that was converted(note:if the video you converted was originally from your computer, there will be two files, the original, and the one you converted, make sure you pick the one that is converted) it will probably be installed in your desktop so look for documents and settings, then click on owner, and then click desktop, finally click on the video.

5th.(your almot done)once the video apears in the chart press on the right hand side were it says play, if it plays that means you can convert it now,(if it doesn't you did something wrong), press were it says convert. wait a few minutes
6th. once its done, make sure you go to the target folder, thats were the newly converted video will be at, once you go that folder connect the player,a new window will appear. then go back were it shows the converted video(you can tell its converted because it will have a weird icon, windows wont be able to play it, and it will have an ".SMV" at the end of the name.) right click and copy or cut, then go to the new window you opened by connecting the player opal and just right click anywere and choose the option that says paste.

AND FINALLY: unplug the player, turn it on, go to your videos and it should be there

YOURRRRR WELCOME!!!
