Which one do i get? I have been looking into the XBOX 360 becuase of one reason...Halo 3, but at the same time I have been hearing that the XBOX scratches yours games, that Halo 3 causes the red ring of death to appear. 1 out of every 3 XBOX 360's will mess up. I have not heard any bad things about PS3, but the XBOX has better title and graphics.

What would you do considering everything?

Just found out my house phone has non- rechargeable batteries in! They have been re-charged daily for who knows how long. The haven't leaked or overheated.

Is the claim not to re-charge a marketing con?

( p.s. I AM NOT ADVOCATING RE-CHARGING YOUR NON- RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES )

I am considering taking my sony plasma to London when I move there next month. I know the signals and power supplies are different but am curious whether the hdmi signal is standard so that I can use the hdmi output from a sky reciever (is there a hdmi output?) and bypass the NTSC - PAL, ATSC - DVB issues. Also, I know a step down transformer can be used to adjust the voltage, but will the 50hz frequency cause problems? Finally, how bad are the results if I use a NTSC - PAL converter?

Hi

I have no clue of which DSLR to get because they have almost identical features, price and specs.

I know that Sony is a new comer in the DSLR market and that the α100 is their first DSLR model, and that the α100 is slightly older than the D40x.

So which one should I get? I'm used to many Sony Cyber-shots... and for a DSLR one has to "buy into a brand" ie. the lens, memory card, accessories etc.

i need a camera where i can just point and shoot and not have the flash go off two or three times before it takes the actual picture(kinda misses the point of a surprise picture). i would like one with the shock resist thing so your pics dont come out looking blury even when your taking pics of cars going 40mph lol and auto focus features but most of all pic quality has to be great and 16:9 widescreen available. thanks for the help. and also price doesnt really matter as long as i get what i need and what im lookin for.

I was at Best Buy this previous weekend, and was viewing "Ultra Violet" and "Into The Blue" on a Sony Bravia 50inch, and the picture quality was amazing when watching it on Blu-Ray. The only thing I noticed was that, it felt like the movie lost that "film like" feel when you watch it in the theater or on DVD, the quality was so high you can see every detail, it almost gave that feeling of a "reality show" that you would see on MTV, where the video camera shows more of a personal video camera type quality. It is hard to describe, but it did feel like I was viewing a home video, because the quality and detail was a little edgy or detailed. Any ideas why? Could it be the frame rate? The movie lost that "imaginative/fantasy" type feel to it. It felt too much like a news report done in HD rather than a "movie". Can anyone help and tell me why?

what i mean is, does everything have to use hdmi cables to effectively work concerning these dvd players that claim to up grade a 480p dvd to a 1080i or p, who knows. Off the topic, my $4,500Yamaha RX-Z9 does not have HDMI inputs or outputs. I should have my head examined for ever paying that much for a "flagship receiver". Out side of being taken, I still don't know why this product was so much money. Can any one explain the beauty of the RX-Z9 to me so I can enjoy it?

I have a 42" Magnavox Plasma HDTV. The TV has dual component video input. One has the PS3 and the other has a DVD player. The DVD player gets no static/fuzz, but the PS3 does.

I'm using the component video cable that came with the PS3. I'm wondering if getting better component video cables (like a thicker guage or gold ends) or better yet a DVI cable (my tv has DVI) would help my case. Games and movies both have the static. I've tried 720p and 1080i, but switching between the two didn't help.

Does anyone get the same thing? What should i do?

Thanks in advance everyone!
