The user guide suggests the door swings open away from the camera. In trying to do this, I flipped off a cover piece to the battery door, but still didn't open the door. Anybody own this camera?

I know that 1.2V rechargeable batteries can replace 1.5V alkaline batteries in most applications, but they don't work in some electronics, like radios and remote controls. So, why don't they boost the voltage to 1.5V? Thanks.

This may be a dumb question, but I'm just curious.

I have this 2.1 computer speaker set, and I used to be able to pump the volume all the way up. Recently, I started getting feedback in the sub if I turn up the volume too high, but I'd been able to blast it before.

Did I blow it out? or is there a way I can reduce the feedback coming from it?

what do the millimeters mean on lenses? the lower the number means what? and the higher the number means what? when a lens is 18-200mm the price is 579, but then a 80-200mm is over 800 bucks. why the big difference?

this is the website i was looking at.

I'm looking to buy a home theater system and the one i'm looking at only has a Coaxial Digital Audio input. However, I want to connect my record player to it, which uses a stereo audio cable (one from the record player to the phono preamp, and another from the preamp to receiver. Is there such a cable that can convert/connect the stereo output of the phono preamp to the coaxial digital audio input of the home theater?

Well, odd, I know, but here's the thing. I've stuck to nintendo a long time, getting the 64 and gaemcube, right? Though, neither has a large number of games on it. And most tend to be a bit kiddie. Now, on the other hand, the playstation has a few games that I want, that I can't get, either for my PC or otherwise. So out of a bit of frustration, I've taken on the idea of buying a used, good condition ps2 while it is cheap. I've heard it to be around 150$(U.S.), is that true?

I just purchased an LG Plasma TV and upgraded my Comcast Service to receive HD signals. The HD picture looks great, however, I've noticed about a half second delay between video and audio. In some ways it's kinda like the old Kung Fu movies where the voices are out of sync...

I have my TV outputs going into my receiver (std L&R audio - red and white connectors). When I called LG, they told me to purchase the optical cables and that should resolve my problem. I plan on getting the cables today, but I'm not certain that will fix the problem.
I just purchased a new receiver and the problem happens with both the old one and the new one, so I know my receiver isn't the problem... I'm really not sure if it's the TV or the service...

Do any of you experts have some suggestions for me?

1080p displays are the newest types of LCD displays on the market. Although broadcasters do not send a 1080p signal yet, the newest Blu-ray and HD DVD players do. If you want the highest possible picture detail and a display that will accommodate higher resolutions in the future, then the cost may be worth it.

Okay, I admit it: I'm electronically challenged. I just got a new cell phone and cannot for the life of me figure out how to capitalize the first character of the second word when I'm entering them in my phone book. For example, instead of Uncle bob, I want to enter Uncle Bob. Anyone know how to do this?

I asked my dad to get me a digital TV for Christmas & he believes all these conspiracy theories from his brother that digital TV has monthly fees and is just a way for the government to make money. I'm really wondering if digital TV with an antenna is free. I really want to know. I want free TV in 2 years, NOT a black screen!!!!!!!

As of now, 11/26/07 I believe that there are 3 different packages for the PS3. (40GB, 60GB, and 80GB) I am not 100% sure though. I want to buy a PS3 that has backward compatibility. I believe that the only one that has backward compatibility is the 80GB . Is this right? I've heard that all PS3's no longer include backward compatibility. I do not know which one to get. Please tell me which PS3 has backward compatibility.

Thanks
