The charge time on the PS3 controllers varies by how much battery has been used up. If the PS3 controller battery is completely used up it should take no more than 2 hours. If the battery is only about halfway used up it should take no more than an hour.
The PS3 controller can last for about 30 hours of gameplay after a full charge.

Hey Lisa, well the charge time will depend on how much battery has been used by you when playing. For example if the battery has been half used, the battery icon will tell show you a half full battery, then you shouldn't need to charge it for more than an hour.
Whereas if your all your battery has been used up then it should not take more than two hours. Hope this helps.

My controllers are fully charged after about two hours.
