Im getting a PS3 for Christmas :D!!! but i was wondering if i would be able to run the Playstation off the AV port and HDMI port at the same time??? its just because i wish to connect the AV cable to my stereo and run the image using the HDMI cable???

yes
when you set the audio output it has different options
in your case you choose AV
and for video you choose HDMI

im gonna be simple and brief, yes you can.

on the settings you have different options for audio and video.
so for audio settings choose AV and for video choose HDMI.

but ive got a better option for you, which makes more sense. why not only use the hdmi cable to your television, and buy a red and white cable to connect it from the tv to your stereo. Makes much more sense. the red and white cable is known as an RCA cable which can be bought for £3. so to recap connect ps3 to television by hdmi and connect the tv to stereo with red and white cable. simple lol hope this helps

you can go to playstion 3 website and they answer all the questions on there and it comes with a manuall when you get it ..it also depends on the gig and stuff buy try going to the website they will help you ..I have a 80 gig and its awsome i am waiting to play online i need a wireless networking adaptor but i can't wait ..and alot of the games are like 65 bucks but i haven't came across one i didnt like so worth it and have fun with it ..its awsome ...Plug into surround sound even more kool
