ok, my husband bought one the weekend they came out. he used it for a week then with a grudge he put it back to the shop and got a nokia n95.
the iphone is lovely and the ipod is fantastic but as a phone you cant :

* forward text message
* recieve mms without going online to view them
* bluetooth files from other devices
* there is a camera but no video option

after all that, you decide. but its not much of a phone for £269

its good, however the contacts are poor, for £35 a month you only get 200 mins and 200 texts. say for instance on orange contact at £35 a month you get free latest handest, not £269 and you get 500mins and unlimited texts. the iphone also has only a 2 megapixel camera aswell, which is low considering the other latest phones that are out. my opinion if you want a fone for music get a sony erricson walkman phone. however if u want camera get the new lg viewity, 5 megapixel with the same touchscreen technology as the iphone. hope this helps

No not at all. it may look cool but too much. Wait till next year. It has a lot of features and a lot setbacks as well. But there are other phones better than the iphone.

Not at the moment, total cost of phone plus the minimum 18 month contract goes over £1300

Wait a while (in america it got a $200 price drop only a few months after it came out!)

It is really cool if you have the money to blow.

If not, opt for something else.

The thing I dont like about it is the size of the "keyboard" Then again I have big'ol' sausages for fingers.

Definately not!

It's hard to type on, it's too slow, it's too big, it doesn't have instant messaging, it's too expensive, it doesn't support typical work email, and it's locked to AT&T.

Have you seen the LG Voyager? Very similar but I can upgrade to it for 99 bucks.
