Consumer Electronics - 2 November 2007

So I called Nintendo (actually Codestorm) about the Wii jacket. I received an e-mail on the 20th of October and it said the jackets are to be despatched and will be with me in 5-10 working days. I waited for 10 days and, no bulky mail. I rang them and told about it and they said it probably got damaged or lost by Royal Mail so they'll just reinstate it and asked for my name and address.

Did any of you experience the same as mine?

I just bought a $50 game, and my ps2 scratches it. It had no scratches, and now it has a few minor ones and freezes alot...when on the final loading screen, i hear it like beating against the ps2 like a scratch noise. what can i do

The PS2 is hooked up through an optical audio cable. Before I switched to the PS2 as DVD player I would play DVDs on another player and the receiver would display what it was decoding (ie Dolby Digital 5.1 or DTS). What does the PCM 48 display mean? Is the disc not being decoded into 5.1 sound?

I have a budget of £500 and want a good quality, branded 32" television that is HD ready and has built in Freeview.

After advice on which brands/models to go for and which are best avoided. Also any technical things I should look for or avoid (I WILL be playing games consoles on it!)

Also if you know any reputable retailers that offer good value...

I know it has all those business features, but would a teen be able to have fun with it?

I was thinking of getting one, but I don't want to get it and be bored with it. Do any other teens here have one? =)

Also it doesn't play the games from iTunes, which kind of sucks because I've bought 6 games from there for my iPod (not including the 4 that came with it). Oh well.

Our church needs to purchase a DVD recorder so we may distribute video DVD's of the services.
A computer is capable of "live time" burning/rercording DVD, is it not? Why do we need to purchase high dollar equipment to record each sermon? We might be able to feed the camera signal to our computer and burn a DVD? Please offer solutions or web sites, thanks

Moved into room that use to have two phone lines. We have one phone line now. Looking at the jack in the wall, it has two sockets for two phone cords..hence two lines. I get a static sound when using just this room phone and internet at same time. When trying to change the jack I found four wires, however it looks like I have two RED and two BLACK. They are screwed into red/black line one....red/black line two. Help, how do I change this and can I just put the lines anywhere??
