5GB - for OS, the rest is all yours. It means a LOT of saves (usually saves don't take too much space, like a couple of MB, some games (rarely) take more than 100MB, demos weigh around 1-1.5GB). So you'll be able to store a lot of saves, a couple of demos and a couple of trailers.

Note: the PS3 takes off a few gegas caz of its setup.

And some games take alot of space to save.
