Hi, my 8 year old son was on the computer and moved my task bar. Can somebody please tell me how to move it down the bottom again. I just cant get used to it.

I tried to open it but a dialog box appeared says that it had been disabled.

The same thing happens even when I'm logged in as administrator. I've also tried shutting down computer and restart it again but it didn't work.

How can I get my Windows Task Manager back?

I teach a speed reading class. I often test my student's progress and it would be great if there were a timer program I could use to show them how fast they are reading if they finish at a certain time. Thirty five seconds=1200 words per minute, thirty seven seconds equals 1100 words minute, etc. Does something like that exist?

First symptom: one of my web pages wouldn't load, though all the others still do. Then my security antivirus program showed as non functioning. Once that was fixed, then I couldn't connect to the internet. Got that fixed, then my printer wouldn't print. Now my Windows Media Player doesn't work and says no sound device is detected. My CD/DVD player connection is no longer detected.when I try to record files, though it recognized a CD if there is already a file recorded on it. This started 5 days ago, and the flaky computer tech I had here yesterday worked for 3 hours and couldn't figure it out and then didn't bother to show up today. Tried to run a couple scans over the net and both of them shut down before the scan finished!

Does this kind of activity suggest a virus or suggest damage to the hardware? If a virus, any suggestions? And please don't tell me to get a new computer. My computer is only 3 months old, so the money has already been spent!

I want an explorer for Linux which has a interface similar to the Windows Explorer. I have heard that Linux Explorer will do the job. But thier website http://www.x-plorer.org is down. Could someone suggest an alternative website where I can download this software? Are there other alternatives to Linux Explorer?

I just upgraded my windows media player 10 to version 11. Now whenever I open it, it asks me to validate something and I don't want to do that. The old version came installed with my computer. Anyone know how I can get the old version back or avoid this validating thing. (preferably avoiding the vatidating process) Thank You very Much.

My volume gets low after every song i play on winamp, so i double click on the volume button on the right hand corner on the bottom and turn it up and than i play the songs and than it automatically turns itself back down how can i permanently turn it up please help its very annoying!

I've accidentally deleted (not disabled) a startup item in Windows,and I'm not sure what it was.
Everything seems to be ok but I can't get the item back or find out what it was. Even a complete restore of the registry hasn't helped.
