I just want the very outine of the person, no background. And then I want to take this picture and put it back onto a different backgroundCould I do this with Adobe Photoshop, the newest version? PLEASE explain fully, I am technologically impaired and am getting so frustrated. Thanks!

no I have a background image that I want to put the picture (that I cut out) on...if I can do it with any program could you tell me how?

Yes, you can do this with Adobe Photoshop. There are a couple of different ways.

There's the magic wand tool, but it would probably be easier just erasing the background the best you can, and then dragging the picture of the person to the background. You can do this by opening your picture, and the click on the eraser tool in the tools window. Get rid of everything you don't want in the picture. Use the zoom button when you get close to the edges of the person, and make the eraser smaller. When your done, open your background picture and simply click on your person and drag it to the background in the other window.

I've got a mac and I use photoshop, if you're attempting to superimpose one image on to another using software like photoshop I'd recommend a feathered selection so that you get a gentle fade in between your original and new layer - otherwise you'll end up with a very obvious cut and paste

First go to Filter and select "extract". Draw around the object then click on the paint bucket and fill it in. Then click extract. Open your second image. Drag the extracted image onto the new picture. You may want to select the edge of the object and blur it to make it blend in better.

Adobe Photoshop CS.....

In Photoshop:

FIrst Open the document (Saved Picture files extn like JPG,BMP,TIFF, TGA..................)

FIle ---------New----------- set width and Height like 6x4 , 12x8 , 12x18... u wanted sizes .....then choose Resolution like 200 r 300
thn K

then Drag ur picture here ..........

and Edit -----------Free Transform.............increase r decrease the
pic size....(if u want).......

thn choose the Background LAYER ........
Click F7.......Click the Background Layer......

Edit ------ FILL ---------Content tab ------choose ur background like
Color , Pattern......

then K

now choose the picture (F7.....then select pic layer)

then TOOL BOX choose LASSO tool r in keyboard click L.....

now cut the picture......(unwanted area)


OR.......

Open the pic file, cut the outline with lasso tool then copy the selection area then open the new background file then paste it....
its very simple..........

Cutting ways........

Tool --------- 1) Lasso Tool 2) Magic Wand Tool 3) PEN tool
Menu---------1) Extract
Mask Mode --- Click Quick Mask Mode.....then using paint brush TOOL draw the outline then remove mask mode delete the unwanted area..........THIS IS ACCURATE...............

Mask mode is really GOOD for Hair Cutting ........

u can cut the picture using any software. where u trying to put it as a background?
