Software - December 2006

Prior to downloading this new version of IE, I could access PDF pages. Is there some setting in IE that I'm not seeing? Could it be my Norton that is causing this? Thanks!

I have installed Ad-Ware, by Lavasoft. It deletes several instances adware/spyware, but every once in a while, i get the same websites popping up. One is "Heavy.com". Anyone have any other suggestions?

Today, I installed Windows Service Pack 2. After trying to upgrade to IE 7, I figured out that it's not letting me download anything at all. Like, nothing at all. I can't download any programs. What should I do?

Can anybody tell me what is wrong? I first turn on my laptop,& instantly the message pops up.I click on to my account & it just shows only my wallpaper.It doesn't show up the start menu or any programs.Firewall is on,but disabled.I know it has to do something with Internet Explorer,but I don't know what.I've tried many things and none of it worked at all.Any help? ok what if i'm trying to get a movie on windows movie maker and it says this
The file C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\Monty Python And The Holy Grail.avi cannot be imported because the codec required to play the file is not installed on your computer. If you have already tried to download and install the codec, close and restart Windows Movie Maker, and then try to import the file again.

I'm trying to install some software for my wireless PCI card. I can run the setup.exe file on my laptop and it works fine... but I dont need it on my laptop. On my desktop when I go to execute the .exe file it just opens a DOS window for a quick second and closes it and that's it. It does not execute the file. Why is this? What do I have to do to execute that file?

By the way, it's on a new installation of Windows XP Pro.

this is my first time w/ limewire music download. i put in a empty dics in and download them. Well it been almost 2 days and it barely to 30% in certain type of songs while others are done!? I just downloaded a photoshop clone that came in an ISO format. How do I actually use the damned thing? It came bundled in a group of three ISO files... and I'm supposing I need to somehow conjoin them? Anyone know how to do thaT? Thanks in advance.
