Limewire works by sharing. You must look for the rating. The more stars the better. Not all downloads will load completely. There should be a # of host next to the downloads. The more hosts the larger the chance. For example if you have one with a host number of three compared to a host number of 45. The 45 download will almost always work and be faster. Another way to make sure you get a download speed that's fast is to look at the speed T3 or higher downloads are best, T1 follows, then DSL or cable, try to stay away from ones that say modem. For burning discs download itunes from apple.com and drag 100% completed download to itunes then you can pick and choose what you want to burn. You have to disable you firewall and/or allow and exception to limewire. Warning you stick to music only movies and software can and will give you viruses. If you want to use them download AVG free version and windows defender. I would say in my opinion VLC player is the best free media player. Waiting on busy host means just that a limited amount of sources and so many people try to download. It will work but you must way. If it say qued press resume and to check the quality press preview and then press the play button (its an arrow in the bottom right hand corner).

Don't be alarmed, "awaiting sources", "waiting on busy hosts" and "queued" all mean that the song is waiting to be downloaded. Try right-clicking the status and options will pop-up on a drop list. For "awaiting sources" you can try the "search for sources" option (It might be worded different), but it is better if you try downloading the song again from a different source. Most of the time, the sources might never come. I recommend this for both the "awaiting sources" and "waiting on busy hosts" status. For the "Queued" status, this just means the song is waiting for other songs to download or for the source to open up so it can start being downloaded. For downloads that are paused you can just right click and choose resume or you can click the resume icon on the bottom. A lot of times many downloads won't work so it begins to look for other sources. It's better to go with the first option that comes up with the most "hits" (top left column) when you search a song. After about 5% of the song is downloaded you can preview to make sure it's the song that you want. (Just click the preview icon on the bottom right corner, it will let you hear whatever has already been downloaded).

Hope it helps.

The firewall just means you have one and limewire had to get around it. Not that big of a deal. You can increase your download rate by going into options>connection and increasing your connection type to something like dsl or T1. Also, you should set your bandwidth slider to full on the "downloads" section. The reason your computer says "awaiting sources" is because that particular download has no users to grab the file from. The "waiting on busy hosts" means the computer you are getting it from is there but it only allows a certain amount of ppl to download at one time, so you have to wait. The Quened is for downloads that are waiting to start (once other downloads are finished). You are going really slow because you are downloading too much at once (if all your files are trying to download, they are fighting for bandwidth). Try downloading 4~5 at a time MAX.

First of all the speed of your download depends on the speed of your internet connection. If you have dial-up, the downloads will be very slow, and even slower if you try to download 3 or 4 at a time. When I had dial-up, I could only download 2 at a time.

The "awaiting sources" and "waiting on busy hosts" means just what they say. They are waiting to connect. You probably have too many going at once. Remove all but the ones nearly finished and they will go much faster.

If you are using Norton or McAfee with a firewall, it will slow your downloads, and even stop them sometimes. If you want to continue downloading, you will have to turn off or disable your Norton or McAfee firewall until you are through downloading.

you need to resume download. there also might be something wrong with that download if it's going that slow. try to resume the download and if that doesn't help then try another download of that same song. there is not much you can do to make it go faster. i'm not sure about the firewall thing though.

there is many different courses, Frost cord, Azureus, etc. yet probability is your dad blocked Lime cord, and this will additionally block different courses like it. supply it a shot in case you may choose to. or you may basically purchase your song from iTunes. Or get the CD's with the song you choose and make playlists in iTunes then basically burn discs.

downloads that say "awaiting sources" or "waiting on busy hosts" don't work, just delete them and look for others.
