It seems like I get spam messages that have a name or part of a message that I have recently sent to ligitimate people from my address book as a part of the spamer's 'subject' line . I get the unsettled feeling that someone is spying on my sent e-mails. How do they do it and is it legal?

I use Skype at school and when I delete my chat history and go to the recicle bin, I find it empty. The computers are in a network and we have no access to disk C. Do you think the computer staff has access to everything I delete or have on my documents? The Skype files are encoded and cannot be opened just by anyone. Do you think there is a program that opens them and that someone at school might have it?

I am running Windows XP on a laptop, and now, all of a sudden, my computer will launch 15-20 windows of whatever browser is installed as my default. It's happened with IE 6 and Firefox. I've run a spyware check (SpyBot), and it'll pick up a bunch of tracking cookies, I'll erase them, and they'll pop back up again. Other antispyware programs won't pick them up. AVG and Antivir don't pick up any viruses. Please don't tell me I'm going to have to reformat and reinstall.

I don't know how, but my PC got infected by a lot of unwanted installs that I don't know how to uninstall. These softwares display unwanted popups in my Internet browser windows. I have tried Internet Explorer, Firefox and Opera but these softwares manage to get into all of them. I have this problem from more than a month now.

I have installed all the webs spyware removal softwares but none seem to eradicate them permanently. I have used Ad Aware SE Personal, Spybot-Search & Destroy, Spyware Terminator, PC Doctor, Spyware Doctor.

These popups open in new tabs and have significantly slowed down my PCs performance. I am really fed-up of all these malicious downloads..and I think that they have reached deeper than I assume.

If anyone has any helpfulinfo please help!

Had McAfee for 1 year - when time to renew so many error msgs that would not go away no matter what I did. Have cancelled McAfee but can someone tell me how to get rid of error msgs "Your computer is not protected" - have Norton now. Do not recommend McAfee to anyone!

The virus is keeping me from going online. When I try to log on to the internet it says it detects no phone line, which is not true, so I tried to do a system restore but the virus doesn't let me do that now also. I'm not sure what to do, do I to have to take it somewhere to get the virus out, or is there a way around this?
