i have antivirus symantec?

this thing won't enable. Also i have a red shield saying my virus protection is off, but when i try to turn it "on" there is no button for "on" and just says "recommendations". help

Do yourself a real favor and get rid of Nortons, as it has been junk for many years and still continues to be the worse junk and hog.

If you don't have the money get yourself www.grisoft.com (AVG), free is excellent or www.avast.com --Avast is free and excellent.

If you want to buy money use what I use and the Government of China uses.

Neither: attempt AVG anti-virus. Their own use free version on my own is adequate safe practices; the registered version of their organisation safe practices software is particularly staggering. And AVG updates are free: enable Symantec, Norton or McAfee attempt to assert that.

i had lot of problems about virus in the last few months now i am fully satisfied about my virus protection. norton anitvirus is a not a good antivirus software for me. Are you up to date with your subscriptions? Nortons (like all other AVs) require you to pay an annual (or bi annual) subscription to continue protection. If that's not the case there could be a virus shutting it down. go to kaspersky.com and use the online scanner (it will not interfear with nortons, will scan your system and clean it)
