I can help you. First of all let me help you remove the junk and then I'll show you how to avoid getting it again.
REMOVAL
Go to http://www.trendmicro.com and make sure you are using Intnernet Explorer as your browser. This is a 100% free, never pay, service. It will scan your computer for viruses, spyware and also adware and will even remove it for free...I use it and it works awesome.
FINDING WHERE THE CULPRIT IS?
A great way to find out whats running on your computer is to click ctrl+alt+delete one time then look under PROCESSES tab You will see a bunch of programs running on your computer. So the next time you get a pop up or something like that do the ctrl alt delete and have a pen ready. Write down anything that looks suspicious and then go on http://www.google.com and type it in. Sometimes its a safe program and sometimes it will say its a virus or spyware. You can then delete the right thing.
SHUT OFF WINDOWS MESSENGER SERVICE
If you have windows xp or higher you could be getting pop ups that people are sending you through windows messenger. Do a search on the internet on how to shut off windows messenger and its easy to do. Just a few mouse clicks. So it could be that you have no spyware thats why the spyware software finds nothing. It could be people spam advertising through windows messenger service.
PREVENTION
Rule #1 never use Internet Explorer or Outlook express or any kind of email that downloads email to your computer.
Rule #2 Always remember rule #1! lol :-)
I have a home business I run and every day I would get viruses because I get a lot of email. I finally made a vow that I would never use Outlook for email. Always use a free service like yahoo or hotmail for instance. When you use outlook the email is downloaded to your computer and sometimes viruses come along with it. When you use a WEB BASED EMAIL SERVICE it can't get onto your system. Also don't open attachments in your web based email service and you'll be very safe. Yahoo for example auto scans the emails you get for viruses so we use that one.
Also never use Internet explorer unless you have to. I never use it. Internet Explorer is like a cube of sugar in a room full of hungry flies. The flies being adware and spyware. Use Mozilla firefox and you can download an add on for firefox called NOSCRIPT which makes firefox even safer.

Unisntall your current anti-virus and do the following:
(if you have the installation disk for it or are happy to install a free program)
Install Nod32 trial version (Antivirus) - I actually bought a license for this in the end as it's the best AV program out there.
- let it update the patch file, run a manual scan, boot your PC and let it continue the final scan.
- alternatively, update the virus patch file, reboot your PC in Safe Mode (hit F8 before it starts Windows) and run Nod32.
Install the Yahoo toolbar with the included anti-spyware.
- run the antispyware
- you can additionally install and run ad-aware and spybot.
Once done, uninstall NOD32 and install AVG Free anti-virus program. Make sure you activate the automatic update schedule.
Opera is the safest browser currently and should not let any spyware or viruses be accidently installed from any website. Make sure you avoid any freebies which very often install spyware on your PC. That's the trade off for so called free stuff ;-)
Good luck!

Keep Ad-Aware and Spybot Search and Destroy installed, but uninstall all the others.
Download and install AVG antivirus and ZoneAlarm firewall (they both have free versions and are recommended by many magazines and users).
Now run the antivirus, and the two spyware removers. Keep running them (and letting them fix anything they find) until you get no more problem coming up.
It's a good idea to always use a firewall and regularly run a good antivirus program. And I think some of your problem may have come from using dodgy Spyware removal tools. Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D are decent and reliable.
Hopefully all that should help you.

To be honest...
1) Save all the data onto Cd's that is crucial (pics, files, etc)
2) Reformat your hard drive - I would also recommend using a drive eraser. It will re-write your hard drive with 1's or 0's depending on your settings.
3) Reinstall everything fresh.
4) Start off using firefox, ZoneAlarm firewall, and AVG Antivirius software. Keep things UP TO DATE.
That all may sound silly but once you are infested its almost impossible to get it clean without starting fresh...esp in the windows world. This stuff that's on your comp could be very malicious and I would recommend doing things ASAP.
