If you have not gone to "help", in Yahoo, and download the antispyware it is not there just because you see the icon in your toolbar.
If you know for sure that you have downloaded the toolbar and checked off their antispyware which is "Nortons", garbage then it may have vanished and you must download the antispyware again.
I know on Internet Explorer 7. the latest version all I have to do is left click on the antispyware icon and being I don't want Nortons, junk I refuse the download.
Try both as you don't say which version of Internet Exploere you use. (Either way you will get the download).
Very common for some icons in the toolbar to either not work or vanish, and you must download the toolbar again with the options that you desire.

Make sure it us up to date. You should also have another anti-spyware on your comp. The yahoo one isnt that great. I used Yahoo, ad-aware and spybot. They are all free too!
