Had McAfee for 1 year - when time to renew so many error msgs that would not go away no matter what I did. Have cancelled McAfee but can someone tell me how to get rid of error msgs "Your computer is not protected" - have Norton now. Do not recommend McAfee to anyone!

Just uninstall the program completely. Go to your control panel, choose add/remove programs. Find mcaffee, highlight it and choose remove.

Been there, done that. Totally uninstall McAfee, and the problem should go away.
Actually, if you want REALLY bad customer support, try getting help from Microsoft; theirs is probably the worst in the computer industry.

I have experience McAfee with my computer before. It is not very protective. I still had gotten a worm/trojan on my computer. It wiped out my computer causing me to get it fixed and reformatting it. One of the top virus protection softwares is, Norton AntiVirus 2005+

I have heard that from other McAfee users. They find it user unfriendly. Like Wolvie said, the best bet is to totally uninstall the program.

if norton doesnt help you should try Kaspersky Anti Virus
i had 258 viruses on my pc and they r all gone now!!!!

Myself I use AVG for viruses and Spybot Search & Destroy for spyware.
