I definately think they do this. I dont think they make true destruction virus, but ones that will make the little window appear and give the user satisfaction that THEY, the mighty computer use, that was SMART and got a anti-virus program , thwarted off a major attack from russian, and prevented the russians from obtaining secret access to their computer ( protect ipod playlist,) when in fact what they did was blow 60 bucks a year down the tube, and that pop up was nothing but a antiv virus hoax

They dont need too....that's what the retarded little hackers are for...so i say no, some of the smaller companies might, in an attempt to "take down the big guys" by having a "better" solution but i highly doubt it.

why, i really didnt think abt it that way....now that u've mention it....theres always that possibility...LOL....and besides since antivirus company are in the business of making money, its only when they create annoying trojans and malicious codes, will they succeed in selling their product.
