As you people know that in my last post i said that i bought this new game called Command and Conquer : Tiberium wars. When i max out the graphix settings, the game play becomes slower :( . but if i put it to the default graphix it works perfectly but it makes me hate the game(boredom) because of the default graphics (makes it ugly) :( . My computer info's are Intel(r), pentium(r) 4 cpu, 3.00 ghz, 512mb ram and an aTi graphics card 256mb Someone told me its the ram because my ram cannot handle the max graphics of the game which makes it slower. So could anyone tell me which and how to know and what should i do to fix this problem?

I have a built in graphics card (built into motherboard) and in order to make it to work i heard i had to go into the system BIOS and switch it to my PCI slot in order for it to work...I tried disabling the onboard graphics card, but my Nvidia (on device manager) continued to say it is not gettin enough resources in order to run

I had a siemens ram card in a slot which reads 8Mx64 SDRAM. Black rectangles on one side only.

It was in an old dell with a pentium II and windows 2000.

I had intermittent sound coming from my audio all the time, so someone told me I need more RAM and it will be much faster than the virtual memory it is now trying to deal with.

So I bought the only thing possibly compatible at Best Buy which was a 256mb DDRAM (black on both sides) and replaced the 8Mx64.
My question is; Is the 8mx64 8x64=512 MEG???Is my old RAM MORE THAN MY DOUBLE SIDED 256mb???

The volume page keeps saying that there is no audio device even though other pages say that the device is working properly.

Whenever I'm holding down my run keys in video games I all of a sudden just stop running like I'm not pushing the key. I have to repress the key to make my guy move again. This doesn't happen in this game when I use my wired keyboard, so it must be a wireless problem.

I extracted 2 (quite old) hard disks from my old computer and i wanna check them out on the computer i currently have.
And probably transfer some stuff i wanna keep on them and then remove them.

Is it safe to remove my current hard drive, replace it with the old one, move the files from my computer there, and then change them back again? Are there any risks?

How do i do this..?

Hi I use a pentium 3 processor with 733 MHz clockspeed, and a gigabyte 6BX7 mother board. I want to run my processor at a higher speed and use some more RAM (my mother board does not support more than 128 MB)

What should I do to over clock my processor?

Can I run it to 1.5GHz, and use some 400 Bus RAM, and PCI Express cards with it?

My #2 PC will not boot up - all I get is the black screen saying "disk boot failure". Does it make sense to remove the hard drive from #2 PC and install it in my main PC? What is the likely result of carrying out this course of action? Both PC's use similar type of Intel Pentium CPU. There are other things wrong with #2 PC that make a repair uneconomical but I would like to recover data still on the hard drive if at all possible. If it can be done, I want it to be done properly and I don't have the confidence to attempt such an operation. If there is anybody in London NW10 (Harlesden/Park Royal) willing to do it for me, please e-mail me.

I am about to purchase an Nvidea 7600 line video card. I can Either get a 7600 GS with 512 MB DDR2 VRAM and a 400 Mhz Core clock or a 7600GT with 256 MB DDR2 VRAM and 560 Mhz Core clock. I know when dealing with RAM, more is always better, but what boosts performance more? VRAM or Core Speed?

I already turned it upside down and got most of it out...and surface cleaned.

However, it is the next day now, and some of the keys are sticking. The j, and the k seem most in need of help. If I wack them, they come unglued.

Otherwise, it does seem ok.

I have a suggestion for you guys though: don't keep tall boys next to the keyboard! lol. Stupid me.

I have no idea where to begin cooling this thing as, despite getting generic fans and heat sinks with the components, I'm wondering if its not going to be sufficient?I do want to avoid water cooling though.

any help will be REALLY appreciated.
even anything derogatory you may have to say about the choice of components...
