If it's live no you can't. If it's just random shows then that's OK but if you have a TV card or receiving it live in any way you have to get a licence
"You need a TV Licence to use any television receiving equipment such as a TV set, set-top boxes, video or DVD recorders, computers or mobile phones to watch or record TV programmes as they are being shown on TV.
If you use a set-top box with a hi-fi system or another device that can only be used to produce sounds and can't display TV programmes, and you don't install or use any other TV receiving equipment, you don't need a TV Licence."

Yes you need a licence. You are not licenced to have a TV set(s), but to receive TV signal transmissions by whatever means. This could be a TV, a video recorder,a DVD recorder, a computer or anything that is capable of receiving a signal, and it doesn't matter whether it is digital or analogue.

Now, suddenly, I feel so lucky in this part of the world where I do not pay a single cent for a TV license. It's the advertisers who are paying the networks BIG BUCKS so that people will watch those programs. We only pay for cable subscription whether you feed it to a TV or a PC w/ tuner.
The joke here is that TV is good for population control. No TV means more babies!

What the hell? for the reason that whilst do you want this? particular, you want a license to broadcast a television station, yet very own a television receiver? incredibly? It might desire to be a type of rules no one actually follows.

If you only watch programs that cannot be seen in this country, either on terrestrial or satellite, you do not need one.
If you watch programs that are broadcast here, then you do.
