I got a Hard Disk Drive which has these features:
- USB to IDE Enclosure
- USE 1.1/USB 2.0 Compliant
- Aluminium Casing
- Easy Data Backup and Transfer
- Built-in Cooling Fan

It supports Windows XP. When I tried to connect the computer with it, Windows detected it and installed something. Later nothing happens. It is an external Hard Disk Drive, isn't it? How do I actually use it...? The box contains only a disk[supports only Windows98], a usb cable and adapter...

I have a S6900NX, the power supply went out but I didnt know and in the investigation I broke the cpu chip and so I replaced the power supply and instead of an Athlon3200 I put in a sempron3000 (both s754). Ok I also put in 1gig geil ram 2.5 latency. all drives stock. and gpu stock. When I try to stasrt it up, everything powers then restarts, and it repeats this over and over. I took everything out seperatly and the only thing that caused a difference was taking the cpu out, what can I do to fix my problem. I will answer any questions because I really want this to work.

Im finding that my computer is running slower ever since I installed Norton Internet Security 2007. Could this be the reason for it taking longer for pages to load? If so what can I do? I need a good Anti virus to protect my computer.

im on a brand new compaq (less then a month), and at least twice a week vista just shuts down my computer when im using it for no reason.
Its not like a loss of power, it goes through the normal shut down procedures. It wont do it for any particular program, ill be in photoshop, and it will shut down, then ill be in firefox and it will shut down.
I consider myself to be somewhat knowledgeable when it comes to computers, ive previously built and modified computers in my life, and i get the basics of the windows operating system. I checked the cpu heatsink and it was cool to the touch, i checked the connectors throughout the case, and everything is seated well.
Ive run every type of spyware, virus, worm detectors and have come up clean. ive run compaq maintenance, and it says that everything is good, no corrupted files or missing data.
My father has a toshiba laptop with vista 64 and has had no probs. Any ideas?

I have a webcam, that i lent to a friend, but she lost the disk and i would like to use my webcam again but when i plug it in and the wizard searches it says that it cannot find the recommended software and it finished, then i get a pop saying your new hardware might not work properly and it doesn't work at all, is there any way that i can get it to work without the disk or do i need the disk?

I try to open the folder "My Computer" but it took a while to open and my pocket hard disk cannot be open when i try to open it. it only have a blinking light but i can feel that the hard disk was somewhat rotating...

I have an ATi Radeon Xpress 200 Integrated video card. It uses 128 mb of my shared memory.

I was wondering if there is a way to adjust how much memory it uses. I would like to bring it up to at least 512 mb.

I also looked in the Bios; I didn't find anything there.

Working on a old dell 4100

i have tried installing 3 differant cd roms all older and working
It tells me the drivers are corrupt.(on three seperate cd roms?)
i have changed the cable i have tried them all with setting of master and than again as cable select it is on the secondary
i have switched the hard drive and cable to the secondary it still is the same


i never do get a drive letter for any of the cd rom

i am out of ideas

I have a Dell and the MOUSE was moveing all over the place so I got a new mouse.Well that did not help .So I called Dell and they told me it was Ram (I Have 512 MM) they tell me I need more I did msconfi and turn every thing off I got rid of every thing I that was eating up Ram but it still happing I now think that someone got past my firewall and router and I cant get them out Not sure if thats a fact or not but I dont belive it ram can some of you help me out? before I GO OUT AND BUY SOMETHING i DONT NEED or get something that dont help now this seems to happen more when i'm on the net and less when im off I close the router then I off line and when I 'm not going on line and it helps about 99% of the time thats why I thinking someoone on here with me

I have one 512MB DDR2 PC4200 on my D945GNT Motherboard (Intel), can I add different brand (generic) but same specs memory, is it ok?............How about if I add different specs, say PC533, in other words, could a mixed specs memory functions well, or if not what will be the problem?............. thanks for the answers.........(sorry for my english)

Hey. I'm trying to do something and I don't know if it's possible or not, but I bought a new hard drive [SATA] and realized I have an older computer that only has IDE/ATA connectors. I bought an IDE-SATA adapter, but I guess that means I won't be able to have both hard drives hooked up at once, right? The older hard drive is an ATA-- is there any way to have both hard drives hooked up using the adapter? Or will I have to choose between the two?

i have a 2.4ghz computer that has a pci video card in it now. i want to upgrade to a newer video card to play the lastest games. My computer only has the pci slots, not the pci express slots. my question is: is there a adpator, or a retro kit kit to upgrade to express? and, if not, what is the best pci video card i can buy? I dont' care what the brade name is

I have just bought a Dell laptop with dual-core 64-bit AMD processor on which Dell (without asking me) has installed 32-bit WinVista. I tried to install a 64-bit application (7-zip, I think) and it refused to install.
