Just to clarify - I do not have £ symbol on my keyboard over 3 key, if I did, I would not ask the question here :)
I want to be able to write these symbols quickly on internet, writing emails etc (not in Word).

Euro on US keyboard hold down either the Alt key and type 0128 on the numeric keypad part of your keyboard (numlock on). pound or GBP is Alt 0168 . On British keyboard press and hold the Alt Gr (right hand 'alt' key) then press the 4 key the pound is shift 3.

At any time, the £ symbol is above the 3 on a normal keyboard - just use shift 3!

In word, For the euro symbol, click on insert, then on symbol and a table of different symbols you can use will appear.
You will see on the right hand side there is something that says 'subset' revealing another drop-down bit. One of these says 'currency symbols' - this gives lots of different currencies, including the € symbol.

Hope this helps - and you can now use the € and £!

My keyboard only has the % sign on the five key, but if its the € key you are after, then try pressing Alt Gr, on the right of the space bar. If this doesn't work, try going to Insert Symbol on MS Word and looking for it there, then just copy and paste it to where you want it, hope this helps.

Well, if you're using MS Word you can go to Insert>Symbol and then a bunch of symbols will pop up and pick the one you want.

Don't think it is possible unless you change your keyboard mapping.

I'd stick to copying it off websites.

I'd run charmap (start -> Run -> charmap) and copy and paste from there onto your program.
