RAM or random access memory is volatile and doesn't store programs. The hard drive stores the programs and the ram is just a virtual workplace that is emptied everytime the power is turned off.

Copies of programs stay in RAM only while they're running. The real programs are stored on disk, so replacing the RAM wouldn't affect them.

Programs are stored on your hard drive, not ram. Ram is only used while the computer is powered on but it gets cleared as soon as you shut down.

Nothing, The programs only use the memory when running when you shut off the computer it wipes the memory clean each time.

RAM save temp. flies but not whole programs. RAM is there to get files faster.
