As you people know that in my last post i said that i bought this new game called Command and Conquer : Tiberium wars. When i max out the graphix settings, the game play becomes slower :( . but if i put it to the default graphix it works perfectly but it makes me hate the game(boredom) because of the default graphics (makes it ugly) :( . My computer info's are Intel(r), pentium(r) 4 cpu, 3.00 ghz, 512mb ram and an aTi graphics card 256mb Someone told me its the ram because my ram cannot handle the max graphics of the game which makes it slower. So could anyone tell me which and how to know and what should i do to fix this problem?

The min system requirements for the game are:

Windows XP or Windows Vista
2Ghz CPU for XP or a 2.2Ghz CPU for Vista
512MB of Ram for XP or 1GB of Ram for Vista
A Geforce TI or ATI Radeon 8500 video card
A direct X 9.0c Compatable Sound Card

I would say your Ram is making the minimum req, which will not be enough to run the game at full capabilities. Your video card,if it is a ATI Radeon 8500, also meats the min req. whicj means you should upgrade that also.

So Upgrade your Ram to 1GB and upgrade your video card to a Radeon x1600 or x1650 and you should run the game at full capacity just fine.

The problem is not really something wrong with your video card, your system does not have the performance to handle the graphics setting at the highest level.

You may not be able to get the level of performance you want but you probably would do well adding more memory 512MB is OK but its hardly enough to run some games. Also the memory on the graphics card, although important, is not the only factor. You might want to look at a video card with a faster GPU.

These are the minium specs needed for the game as you see 512 is the bare minium ram needed so you need to upgrade to least a gig to be able to enjoy the intense graphics i don't know about your video card because you did not mention the model number

OS: Windows XP, Windows Vista (32-bit; 64-bit versions of Vista are not supported)

CPU: 2.0GHz or high, or AMD equivalent, Vista - 2.2 GHZ

RAM: 512 MB or more, Vista - 1GB RAM or more

Disk Drive: 8x or faster DVD drive for retail SKUs, not required for digitally downloaded version

Hard Drive: 6.0 GB or more of free space

Video: GeForce4, ATI Radeon 8500 or greater (ATI Radeon 9200 and 9250 PCI, NVIDIA Geforce 4 MX cards not supported.). Windows Vista - NVIDIA GeForce 6100 or ATI Radeon 9500 or greater. Labtop versions of these chipsets may work but are not supported.

Sound: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card

Network, Internet Multiplayer: 2 players (no voice support) – 56 Kbps Internet connection; 2-8 players (with voice transmission) – Broadband-class connection

it is probably you ram, unless you vid card has shared memory instead of on board. With shared it just lets you know that it is using that much of the system ram to run the graphics.
But if you have the on board memory then the ram is definitely the problem, because all the vid card does is generate the amount of shading and texture a picture has. But the systems ram tell all the picture to move around.

I would guess C&C has around the same min requirements to run as Flight sim X, and that has a min RAM of 512 just to run it, much less at full graphics.

I can run Flight sim at full graphics with no problem, on two screens,
system specs
2.1 Gig AMD cpu
3 Gig RAm
2 Ge-force 7300 vid cards 128 onboard ram

If i were you I would find the web site for this game and check their troublshooting section. Or check the cd for a help text file for extra settings
Good luck
