I'm trying to copy my old albums to CD's. I can only get maybe 4 songs to copy. Help says it may be I'm using CD's too slow for my CD drive. I can't find out what speed my HP Laptop Pavillion ZD8000 CD speed is. Can anyone help?

I recently had my laptop repaired, because the OS did not boot properly. The repair center told me they replace the planar card. I don't know what the card does. Does it have anything to do with loading OS?

Whenever I'm watching a Movie on my laptop, I notice the film of the show would briefly freeze, but barely noticeable and extremely irritable. It seems as if the laptop is not producing enough energy to play the DVD disc. I am not sure, but I plan to return my notebook to the manufacturer for a repair under my warranty. But I need to explain the dysfucntion clearly. How can I put this into words so they can understand the issue?

I am trying to clean up my old dell laptop. It is moving real slow and takes forever to boot up. I have tried to reinstall windows and so far it will not allow me. Even when i put the cd in and try to run it that is currently not getting the job done. It has been restored once from a virus from a friend but he is currently a state away and cannot help. any ideas on what i can do. I do have some computer knowledge but can;t figure this out.

besides dell and please not any macs. i need something that works quickly and efficiently, doesn't freeze (or freezes the least amount of times as compared to other brands) and does not crash or get viruses easily. i have had compaqs but i hate them and do not want to get them again because i have had a lot of problems with them such as always being slow, breaking easily, crashing quickly and freezing quickly and faulty battery. since compaq and hp computers are now 1 company, are they the same quality? thanks

p.s. i am always doing multiple things on the computer and need something that won't slow down

if anyone has an acer laptop (with camera) i need some help! 1st of all i cant activate the camera! The camera is like tuned off and i cant figure out how to turn it on. Also i think somewhere in the acer arcade (if u know what i am talking about) i think u can do some kareoke mode thing where u can sing to a song and it will just play the backround music for u. I bought the PSAA0U-01C002/ Z Toshiba TAIS 1 year ago.

The laptop overheats and shuts off. I sent it to a toshiba authorized repairer and they told me that it was a bad mother board. This is a $600 part. My warranty expired less then 30 days ago.
I have been on hold with their Customer Relations dept for exactly 1 hour.
WHAT SHOULD I DO???

Ok..I was on myspace and clicked on my sister's page..when all of a sudden I heard some loud bell sound..and my laptop froze. Pressing ctrl+alt+del didn't work, so I just held the power button down to shut the laptop off. When restarting..I got a message saying windows could not start up. I called the Compaq company and they had me do a pc recovery..now all my files..including pics/music/graphics are gone. Is there anyway to get them back?

My Toshiba Tecra S1 has totally crashed. when turned on, it either beeps constanly with a blank screen or is silent with a blank screen. I have no idea how to fix this or what the problem is. I don't think it's anything to do with the power supply. Can anyone help??
