i have a toshiba sattelite laptop but for some reason the screen doesn't work anymore. i've only had it for a year and a half and hardly ever use it. i've taken it to several places to try to get it fixed, but everywhere i go they all tell me i might as well get a new laptop. one guy told me that the backlight of the screen went out. i don't know what to do....

OK, I have a windows xp, laptop, and i bought it in january 2007, at first it was super fast, i mean, all programs loaded in a sec, and when i entered a website, the page will fully load in one sec. but then it started to decrease the perfomance of how fast it is. No it's not any spyware, antivirus, trojan, etc. because i daily scan for any of it. Is there any way to make my com. go any faster as it was? instead of degrag, ?

I am trying to reformat my hard drive, and Laptop has built in restore. I try restore, but get an invalid registry error of somekind and get a blue screen. I don't have a recovery disk. Anyone know what I can do?

Hi guys,
I know that laptops have built in graphics chips that normally are extremely hard to change and are not meant to be changed.....but is there any way to change them!? I have a relatively new sony vaio laptop (about 5 months old) and I was hoping to slightly up the graphics...I know I should have got a laptop with the amount I wanted first time but things didn't quite pan out as planned first time!
So lets whittle this down... Is there a graphics chip I can buy to replace my current one?
If so, could you tell me what it is?

My Powerbook usually only has 60-90 mins of battery power. On plane flights it runs out before my movies is over. Like my iPod, I've tried letting the PC drain all its power and then charging in the off position overnite. Still doesn't work. This is a hand-me-down PC so I have no original information. Is this normal for this model? Is there something I can do ti extend the battery length? Thnx.
