Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Power Options > Advanced.... then change the selection for "When I close the lid of my laptop.."

Open your Power Management settings from your Control Panel, and make any changes that you want.

just configure it for that in power control
you can have standby,no change, shutdown ,when you close the lid
what ever you want

"Do Nothing"- that's the setting you should choose in the power management menu where you are asked what your laptop will do when you close down the screen.

go into your control panel, go into the power management settings, you can fix it there.
