i got a new labtop and i cant get it on the internet?

i got a acer and i have d-link to connect it to the internet but it will not connect is there anything else i need for it to connect i need help

there shouldn't be anything else u need..

just go to control panel and set up your connection

Look at your Firewall and see if disabling it temporally will get you connected.
