I just got me a new hp laptop my mouse keypad doesn't work?

Can anyone tell me what to do?

There is a small button above the touch pad that locks it. If the light next to it is red then it is locked. Simply touch the button and it should turn green, meaning your touch pad is unlocked.

I have an hp too. If you look at the top of black frame around the mouse keypad there is a button. Next to that button there should be a colored square. If that square is red that means your keypad is locked. To unlock it you just press the button next to it and the square should turn blue.
