That depends on your needs. Macs are excellent machines, but more software is available for Windows.

oh my sweet jesus....it depends on what you are using it for....games, internet, movies, editing, sound, animation, word processing, mobilitly, list goes on.
both laptops have good quality, however you'll get more for the money if you get the vaio. in addition, with apples you'll have to get specific software titles designed to run on the mac OS. the plus side with getting a mac is that only 10% of viruses are written for them because the programming behind the OS is more complex. The con with a mac...theres a bit of a learning curve with it. its the opposite of a PC. and just think....if something does happen ot go wrong with it....would you/or someone you know, know how to fix it?

If you want a overpriced computer with a sweet case, go mac. If you want a computer that can multi task, has better speakers than a cell phone, or you just want to watch videos, go with the sony. I would go with HP if you have a choice but Sony's are ok.
