I have a laptop (hp dv2120us) and the battery meter is not displaying in the taskbar. I do have the setting in power management set to always display the battery meter in the taskbar, this was done by enabling it with a check box. It used to work, but has stopped displaying lately. Anyone encounter this? any ideas or a solution? The only thing i can think of is there must be somesort of conflict with software. I have a lot of IDE's installed, ect. but not sure whats wrong.

i really need that key to work and my laptop doesnt have it and it sucks to be hitting the key combination everytime i want that letter to show. can i at least change it for another key or is this just impossible?

I used to use the microphone regularly but suddenly today I see that I am not able to record or talk on the microphone????? I can't even complete the call setup. The lights don't glow up when they are supposed to while we talk during the setup. But this microphone is working on the other computer. I think it's some pretty small problem with my laptop. Can you all please help me fix this thing soon???

I want a new laptop, and Gateway now offers Vista Home OR XP Media Center. Since I want to use more of my hard drive and don't want to adopt Vista this early in the game and I won't be buying a system that can support Aero effectively, shouldn't I opt for XP instead? What do you think?

Alright, my computer, when I look at the box it came in, says i should have over 60G of memory in my HDD on the computer. A while back, I went to download this game, and it said not enough room on my laptop. When I went to check out how much memory I had left it was 2G, but what really caught my attention was that when I went to see how much over all, Max, amount of memory I had was only 23.2. I don't know why, maybe somethings being read wrong, some other person said I shoudl go make a partition, didn't give too much detail on THAT specifically. I just want my fair 60G of HDD, what's going on?

it is not the headphones, it is the laptop (i've tried about 5 different ones that workperfectly)
i have the latest updates for my sound card
i have a hp dv9009nr laptop
everything worked perfectly until three days ago, i was listening to a video on my headphones and halfway through the video the sound started coming through the laptop's speakers
since the sound will only play through the speakers
i use headphones 2 to 3 times more than the built in speakers
