I have a laptop (hp dv2120us) and the battery meter is not displaying in the taskbar. I do have the setting in power management set to always display the battery meter in the taskbar, this was done by enabling it with a check box. It used to work, but has stopped displaying lately. Anyone encounter this? any ideas or a solution? The only thing i can think of is there must be somesort of conflict with software. I have a lot of IDE's installed, ect. but not sure whats wrong.

thanks,

I would go back into the power management console, uncheck the box, hit apply and then re-check the box and hit ok. More often than not that will solve the problem.
