Hello spazywaffles,

Safari keep all of your web sites in a cache so that they will load back up pretty fast, but after awhile that cache gets pretty clogged with web site information. Go up to the Safari > Empty Cache... menu command, then click on the Empty button.

You can also use the History > Clear History menu command to clear up all of those past web sites out of your history section. Or, you can simply use the Safari > Reset Safari menu command to do both at the same time. I like keeping my history for awhile and a little cache is OK to load your favorite web sites over and over again.

That should take care of the Safari speed. More RAM will do wonders for your iBook and that's pretty cheap. If you've got the money, get the maximum amount of RAM for your iBook. Best of luck to you.
