I just got a new HP lap top ( with Microsoft Vista) and somehow I deleted the recycle bin off of my desktop. I want to put it back on there. But I can't find it anywhere. Please help. Thank you in advance for your suggestions.

i did a bios update today from my laptop provider ( toshiba ) after the update windows vista all the sudden detected 2 new devices, but could not find any drivers for them. these two devices werent there before and im not sure what they are and where to get drivers for them ? any ideas guys ?

I have a standard laptop, I think it requires 110v to run. If I'm looking to run the computer for around 5 or 6 hours a day, what size or strength (ball park figure, as I'm aware there are many different factors relating to power consumption) of solar panel I would need to do this? The laptop has still 6 more months of parts warranty but the service center says it takes at least 14 working days to fix the problem. It is very difficult to give up the laptop even for 24 hours.

I asked this question yesterday and only got one answer, from someone whos answer was "I don't know"?
How or what does the finger tip mouse pad on a laptop read? We already know that it responds to the naked fingertip, that is given.
BUT, if you put a very very thin knit cotton glove on, it does not respond at all. If you use a piece of silver, it does not respond at all. BUT, if you use a piece of real gold, it responds just as it does with your finger tip. What does gold and a finger tip have in common and how does this thing work?

My laptop started making very loud noises equivalent to the sound of a broken air fan or like when you stick a toothpick inside of a fan...it sounds as if something spinning is rubbing against something...I am not sure what it could be other than this noise the laptop works fine...do i need a new one Im thinking of getting one because it is extremely annoying..it never stops only for like 3 seconds then starts up again is this harming it? If i decide to get a new one are there anything you suggest any type of great windows laptop at a good price?

When I diconnect the power cord the computer completely shuts down like I powered it off. Other than that the laptop works fine. It's about 13 months old.

Can anyone help me out with my new AC adapter I just bought for my Compaq Armada computer on eBay? The computer is a model:7400-6366/T14/10.0/V/M/1, and when I connect the new adapter to it, to charge the battery, it causes the computer to shut down. The adapter is a Compaq #341809-101 and reads "for use with Compaq Series2910 family of computer products only". Is this the wrong adapter (bought new on eBay).

I am looking into purchasing a new computer and am leaning toward a Mac Powerbook. I am in advertising and many of my peers prefer macs. I have always had some type of pc, but have heard macs are more user friendly and preform better for the type of work I want to do on it. Any suggestions?
