Some laptops have a spring mechanism underneath the plastic key itself. From the perspective of looking from the right or left end fo the Enter key, the two pieces should cross one another. You shouuld also notice that there's a small knob at the end of the plastic part of the spring mechanism either on the upper or lower piece. Observe these along with the area on your laptop where the key came off. You should see where these small knobs should go. With much patience and a little time, carefully lower the key in such a manner that the two knobs appear to pop in place. Keep the opposite side at an angle as you're lowering it down as well as it needs to slide into a small notch as well on the notebook. If you get these two really close to where they need to fall in place, then slowly but firmly push down on the key. If you hear or feel a slight snap, then the key will probably be in the right place. This may take several tries. I've managed to do this for friends and customers through many years of being a PC service person. Don't get discouraged as it took me about 30 minutes to put my first one on and then I got a feel for what it looks like and where the pieces need to be. Even a millimeter off can make all the difference in the world. I wish you the best of luck. If all else fails, then ask a friend to try and if that fails, then take it to a computer professional and see if they'll take care of it for you. I've even encountered customers who would rather buy a new keyboard than to figure out how to put a key or two back on.

Take a look at the little white hinge piece that is underneath the button. Often times when the button pops off, the actual piece that holds it down has broken. These are cheap and easily found on ebay.

If your key has snap points on the bottom of it, just line it up with the metal piece attached to the keyboard and gently press it back on to the computer. You will know when it is back on because you will hear the key make a click noise.

Push relatively hard down on both sides and the middle of the key. This may work.
