I used to use the microphone regularly but suddenly today I see that I am not able to record or talk on the microphone????? I can't even complete the call setup. The lights don't glow up when they are supposed to while we talk during the setup. But this microphone is working on the other computer. I think it's some pretty small problem with my laptop. Can you all please help me fix this thing soon???

You know, you can try what the other person said, but if it just happened, try your system restore feature.... sometimes it works miracles.... only good for a short period of time - but if it's recent, it's worth a shot.

Goto Start menu, Control Panel, Sound, Speech, and Audio Devices, click Sounds And Audio Devices, click tab Voice, click Test Hardware. Helped me. Good luck.
