I just read a good article on this topic....what's recommended is a 50-50 mix of Isopropyl Alcohol, and distilled water. That's apparently what the commercial LCD cleaners are made of, and you can get both at a drug store to mix up your own at a lot less cost. To clean, use a clean very soft cloth, wetting some of the cloth with the solution. Make sure the monitor is turned off, and don't press too hard on the screen when applying the solution. Clean from the top down evenly. That's all you have to do. Good luck.

I agree with Soundpost, just water and a soft cloth like a dishtowel, but you need to dry it as well so it doesn't get full of streaks. Don't use paper towels because the fibers in them can scratch the screen. You can use something like Windex as well, but never spray it directly on the screen. Spray it on a cloth and then wipe the screen and dry it. I really like microfiber cloths.

They make wipes just for electronics, those won't damage your laptop screen. You can get them in any electronics store or in places like Wal Mart

This is simple if u want u can take a soft non-abrasive cloth and get it damp with water and rub it gently over the screen and it should work.
Hop this helps.

Try white vinegar. This new girl at work recommended it to me saying it doesn't leave a residue and isn't harsh. I tried it and the only complaint I have is that my computer smelled like vinegar for a few days.

I just go and get a soft paper towel and gently wipe my screen....One stroke at a time.
