I have a IBM and there's a red thing in the middle called the trackpoint. It's like a mouse for the laptop. For some reason the trackpoitn won't work and neither will the left and right click buttons that go with it. Does anyone know how I can fix this?
p.s. it is not disabled I checked!

I have a toshiba laptop and recently after about half an hour it starts getting really hot, almost to the point where parts of it hurt to touch. I try to shut it down before then but it really limits my computer use. Can I take my laptop in to a computer store to get its fan or whatever it has replaced? Please Help! thanks

I had just tried Linux on my Acer Aspire 5100 laptop but now i wanted to go back to Windows--I re installed it using the recovery CD but when i reboot when finished it doesn't start as windows but in the Bash command in Linux, do I need to format the Hard Drive, or what? If I do have to format the HD how do I do that?

I recently had a crash on my laptop. And I have everything working fine now, however I can not seem to connect to my Linksys wireless and it seems as though my wireless modem on my laptop is not working. I am not able to pick up any local wireless connections. I was told that it is possible that my wireless card on my laptop took a dive however we were also thinking maybe there is a switch somewhere on my Dell that is turned off. Any ideas?

I got a game, traitors gate2 and it loades fine plays the 5 minute intro very well. when i push new to start a new game(first time playing) it shuts down and restarts. tells me the computer has recovred from a fatel error. it say that if this occurs to email them, but when i go to email them they ask for the above info. says something about ati grafics. I do not understand this because i play csi all the time with no problems. please please please
this game looks real good. I have 9.47GM free---total 18.6B game takes 607B.I also bought a 1.0 GB micro cruzer flash drive

I was about 2 seconds away from pressing confirm when my friend told me I was better off waiting another week for MAC to announce the launch of Leopard (correct me if he's given me falso info!) then prob bring it out and thus install new systems with it at the end of Jan.

Does anyone know when Leopard OS will be launched? Is it worth waiting for it to come out before buying? I cannot emphasize how impatient I am!

Why is it with 3 laptops in the home and a Lkinksys Broadband wireless 2.4 is hookuped to our computer are the lap tops even if in the same room not able to connect to the internet? "Out of range" or "unable to connect" yet at times 1 of the 3 is able to connect. Is there a possibility that something is connected wrong or should we be looking on the laptop for possible problems?

I got my son a laptop but we can't play any video on it. It says it came with a video card and it is dvd capable... but when I hit the Google video it just comes up blank. Any idea what I can do to fix this?
