I was about 2 seconds away from pressing confirm when my friend told me I was better off waiting another week for MAC to announce the launch of Leopard (correct me if he's given me falso info!) then prob bring it out and thus install new systems with it at the end of Jan.

Does anyone know when Leopard OS will be launched? Is it worth waiting for it to come out before buying? I cannot emphasize how impatient I am!

I was also told with the launch of Leopard, the MACBOOKS may also be upgraded? Does anyone know about this.

You should not wait for Leopard. You do NOT want the first version (OSX 10.5.0.0) anyways. The intial releases are always buggy. It was true with Jaguar (10.2), Panther (10.3) and Tiger (10.4). You want to wait until the 3rd or 4th update (10.5.3 or 10.5.4). Heck, Tiger is up it's eight update (10.4.8). And waiting that long means you will be waiting almost a year. Can you wait that long?

As the Macworld Conference & Expo 2007 kicks off on Monday it's probable that Steve Jobs will announce the launch of Leopard. I would definitely wait to see what actually happens next week.

Apple have announced that Leopard will ship Spring 2007, however many people (Including me) beleive they will launch it soon - to rain down on Vista's parade.

But either way, it's worth waiting. Leopard is going to be great :)

i've got used the two Mac and homestead windows. And on top of that, i've got used the two a MacBook with Leopard, and a homestead windows with Vista. Having used the two, my new philosophy is : "as quickly as you bypass Mac, you on no account bypass back". Mac is soooo uncomplicated, yet lets you do soooo plenty on the comparable time! it may be properly surely worth the holiday on your section to a Mac shop to objective one out and talk with the reps. on the different hand, while you're vast into gaming, then I propose sticking with homestead windows. no longer that I surely have any very own adventure with homestead windows vs Mac gaming - yet each and every of the comments i've got heard is that homestead windows is the extra useful gaming equipment.

Leopard has been three weeks from launch for six months now. It's no big deal.
