£299 thats the lowest price i have seen for a laptop in PC World when they had their Sales...
I recommend e-bay...and if you are just using the laptop for Internet and basic office use....then i recommend the Dell C610.......I brought 2 of these for £220 each...(one for Internet...one for web-design) I've even put in a extra 512mb Ram (total 640mb) in one of them.. (web-design one)
The specs
P3 1Ghz
20gb HD
14" Screen (1024 x 768)
Ethernet
1 Usb (1.1)
S-video out connection
2 PCIMA slots
CD-RW

You are unlikely to get a decent laptop new for £200. If you only need for web access email etc and not anything intensive take a look for second hand or refurbished laptops.
You would probably be looking to spend at least twice that for a decent new laptop

I think you would need a bit more than 200 for a new laptop, 700 should get you a decent one.

The cheapest brand new laptop you can get your hands on is probably the Dell Inspiron 1300 for £298. Otherwise you will need to look at second hand or reconditioned.

That's a low budget for a laptop. Try getting a refurbished one off Dell or a shop that sells them.

For your budget it is better to buy a refurbished computer as £200 will not buy a decent reliable New Computer
