Sharp laptop- battery help?

My battery only holds a charge off the outlet for 2 hours! Is that a bad sign, they dont make my laptop anmore- is there still a way to buy a battery?? and it also gets REALLLYYY hott!!! is that part of the battery problem too? HELP!

If you have a standard battery and not an extended life battery, 2 hours is pretty common. Now if it is getting really how, discontinue using it becasue it can explode.

Try seaching online for batteries using your laptop's model number. Sometimes there is also a part number on the battery you can use.
