I had just tried Linux on my Acer Aspire 5100 laptop but now i wanted to go back to Windows--I re installed it using the recovery CD but when i reboot when finished it doesn't start as windows but in the Bash command in Linux, do I need to format the Hard Drive, or what? If I do have to format the HD how do I do that?

when you re-install windows from the cd ... you will get an option to delete partition .... do this and then you'll be asked to format using NTFS ... do this also ... that will get rid of any traces of Linux
Good Luck :)

If XP won't start up in secure Mode (use F8 key for the time of bootup): "Do I might desire to reinstall homestead windows XP and lose all my artwork on the computer, word 2003 and my information and so on??" sure, XP is corrupted. If XP will start up in secure Mode: attempt commence > All courses > upload-ons > equipment kit > equipment fix to roll back your XP computer to the day until now the subjects occurred.

You need to delete all partitions on the hard disk, and repartition and format it before you can install windows on it
